The mess in Syria began five years ago with most analysts assuming that the Assad regime is the main cause of the problems in Syria, and that Assad must be removed from his position. Now, however, the USA government has changed its policy from insisting that Assad must go to negotiating with his regime to end the deterioration of the state. In fact, Secretary of State Kerry indicated this week that negotiations should now include President Assad although Kerry still believes he should resign. But the problem is that several NATO member states, including Canada, have been involved in the recruiting and helping of the ISIS terror group. A couple of weeks ago three British girls were missing, and the Turkish Media outlets reported allegations about the possible involvement of Canada’s government and its intelligence agency in aiding a Syrian human smuggler who helped three British girls join the ISIS by traveling via Turkey to Syria. But most of the main media is being silent about these issues. I believe that if the sovereign states did not sponsor a terror group like ISIS, it would not survive long. Canada is a great example of it. Instead of blocking people from joining the ISIS group, Canada is actually facilitating their trafficking.
I believe that other major global power states are also helping the ISIS. The reason we know Canada supports it is because the agent who was working for the Canadian intelligence was arrested in Turkey and has already confessed that he helped these three British girls cross into Syria to join the ISIS. He also claimed that he is on the payroll of the Canadian intelligence agency, although CBC News has found this statement to be false. The spy agent named Mohammad Al Rashed, who purportedly went by the alias Dr. Mehmet Resit, helped facilitate the travel of the two fifteen and one sixteen year old British girls. The Canadian government has been involved in human smuggling and should be condemned by the international community; it is very sad to see that even the main media are silent about this issue. Canada has much to explain both to the international community and to the Syrian people about its helping those three British girls to travel from Britain via Turkey to Syria. It assumes Syrian is a double agent and working for the Assad regime and at the same time for Canada. The problem is that the Canadian spy agency has close relations with the ISIS and its interests in Syria.
What has the man done for the Canadian agency? Why is he recruiting fifteen and sixteen year old teenage girls for a terrorist group at the same time that the international community is finding a way to eliminate this group? If the international community wanted to have a peaceful world, they should stop playing by a double standard. If they really want to end the chaos in Syria, they urgently need to deal with three main issues in Syria by: 1) removing the ISIS and other terrorist groups in the region, 2) sanctioning those who support terrorist groups, and 3), removing the Assad regime. We all well know that terrorist groups have found refuge in many countries and have worked hand in hand with local governments. Until today we have seen several countries continue to support jihadists and extremists for training recruits and using terror as a way to accomplish their broader objective. If superpowers did not support the ISIS menace, the ISIS would not slaughter so many innocent people and would not have survived this long. We all know that Iraq and Syria are failed states. The ISIS has been used as a scapegoat against the Assad regime and by the Shiites in Iraq. Let’s put our finger on Canada and hope that it will not come up as one of the active supporters of the ISIS.
